In The Oogie Boogie Bash

Visit select nights in September and October 2022

Halloween is my favorite holiday and although we had heard a lot about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in WDW it was cancelled in 2021. So instead, we decided to head out west and check out Disney’s Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure Park (DCA).

First thing to know about Oogie Boogie Bash is that people of all ages really do dress up!

Next thing to know is they give out SO much candy, fruits, and treats (even healthy options) during the event that you will need a larger bag than the one they give you at the entrance. In retrospect, I should have brought a duffle bag haha.

There is also no shortage of characters or photo ops around DCA during the bash so don’t feel like you need to rush from place to place to see them. They are there for the entire duration of the night and you’ll have plenty of time to catch them all.

Characters:

The Guardians of The Galaxy Mission Breakout is themed for Oogie Boogie Bash (After Dark). It’s a fun spin on the ride that you can only experience during the event so it is not to be missed!

Because the event sells limited tickets the park never feels full or busy which is great! It also means you won’t ever be waiting in line for more than 10 minutes during the event.

Food: Almost all DCA park food and drink quick services are open during the event so yes, we had more churros and more cones. I am convinced that not only is Cars Land the cutest area in DCA, it also has the best food!

The Frightfully Fun Parade is the only thing you should schedule time for. We sat down right across from Carthay Circle Restaurant about 30 minutes before the start time and we had front row seats (you can eat your treats while you wait).

The whole night filled with meet and greets, treats, and halloween fun is awesome! We loved every second of it and only wish it was longer because from 6pm-11pm we really felt like time flew by!

& If you love Halloween as much as I do, head over to Disneyland for some more Halloween fun…
